Besides Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin is arguably the best player in the NHL. In January, Ovechkin signed a very long time deal with his Washington Capitals for 13 years, 124 million. Not only has Ovechkin signed a big contract, but also the money is paying off. He has scored 54 goals this season, giving him the lead in the NHL. However, Ovechkin wants to take his Capitals into the Stanley Cup playoffs, and right now they are 10th in the Eastern Conference.
